3rd CSR Donors & Doers- The Art of Giving 2009

The 3rd CSR Donor & Doers Meet laid a special emphasis on CSR and Physical Disability. The meet was inaugurated by Mr. Shreprakash Jaiswal, Honble Minister for Coal, Govt of India. The program shared some of the finest CSR actions and results from various corporate houses which have taken up the cause of Physical Disability. The program was attended by some of the most credible NGO’s as well as corporate houses working in this field and was supported by large organizations, with the likes of ONGC, NTPC, South Eastern Coal Fields etc. The speakers also spoke on various issues being faced by CSR. The participants were enlightened to hear speakers like Mr Subhash Medhapurkar from SUTRA an NGO working in the field of women empowerment in the remote districts of Himachal Pradesh. Ms Preeti Johar from Family of Disabled or differently-abled presented some of the finest case studies on how with a regular support, the beneficiaries have been able to establish a sustainable business for themselves. The closing session was chaired by Shri Satpal Maharaj, Member Parliament, Lok Sabha.
